Hey Brothers. I greatly enjoyed the podcast on 19.1. The law is a topic I have been trying to work through recently. I even started From the Finger of God by Phillip Ross. I have a thought, and I would love to hear your thoughts. If the command to not eat of the tree in the garden was not a summary of the moral law, how then did people pre-Sinai keep the law?

Hey Conner! Thanks for the question! Even before Sinai God had revealed his law to man. For instance, the WLC Q. 17 notes A”fter God had made all other creatures, he created man male and female…having the law of God written in their hearts.” So, Sinai wasn’t the first place a revelation of God’s moral law was given.
