Episode 20.2: The Liberty of Conscience

How do we see matters of conscience situated under the Kingship of Christ? How does false human authority mimic God’s authority? Can you clarify for us “doctrine” and “faith” in this paragraph? What about those who have been taught something and sincerely believe it to be biblical but are wrong? What is implicit faith? How does requiring extra-biblical beliefs or practice destroy reason? How dangerous is it it impose something on another? Tune in as Nathan, Shawn, Joel, and Kyle discuss WCF 20.2:

God alone is Lord of the conscience, and hath left it free from the doctrines and commandments of men which are in anything contrary to his Word, or beside it, in matters of faith or worship. So that to believe such doctrines, or to obey such commands out of conscience, is to betray true liberty of conscience; and the requiring of an implicit faith, and an absolute and blind obedience, is to destroy liberty of conscience, and reason also.
